We are delighted to launch our new range, La Boheme, which has been inspired by a fusion of the romanticism of Bohemia and the ideals of the Art Nouveau movement. It is about bringing art and beauty into every day life and a celebration of pushing conventional boundaries.
We would like you to help create a story for the new La Boheme range to give it depth and personality.
While our focus is on breathing new life into eco-friendly products with beautiful design, feel free to take this story anywhere you want it to go.
Comment as many times as you like, and any length. Get your creativity flowing. The story can go in any direction…however comments will be edited if necessary if the story goes beyond decency boundaries.
The blog will be ‘live’ for two weeks, at the end of this time the story will be posted across our sites permanently, so your words will be a part of the Envirosax La Boheme story.
To start you may find inspiration from this picture.
So we will begin the story…
Life was starting to get a little hectic for 20 year old Lorien with uni exams, boyfriend giving her grief and parents just not understanding the pressure she was under. She decided to have a break from study and go for a walk in the forest behind her house. She had always loved the quiet, stillness and imagined growing up that it was enchanted, just like in fairy tales. After walking for a while, slowly feeling more calm and peaceful, she came across this beautiful red bag. Her attraction to it was immense and she just sensed there was something special about this bag, something magical…
suddenly she turned around as she heard a noise behind her…

But then she realised she had made a mistake, she had to get back to the forest. So with trepidation she returned. And as soon as she got back to the clearing something pounced on her back…

The words sounded far away, as Lorien slowly regained consciousness. She sat up slowly, feeling the cool of the earth beneath her. Slowly her fingers uncurled from the handle of the beautiful red bag. “Coffee shop?” she echoed. “Mmm. I think I need one.” Picking up the red bag again, she stumbled out of the forest, not noticing the lean figure darting behind the trees. Watching her bag closely.

The sunlight filtered through the trees and blinded Lorien momentarily, forcing her to stop and shield her eyes. In doing so, she reflected on the events so far and was uncertain whether her pounding headache was due to her fall, her shock at seeing a fairy or caffeine withdrawal symptons.

She was excited about finally leaving behind the strange forest and sitting down to a nice hot cup of coffee. She finally got to the edge of the forest when she felt a cold slimy hand on her shoulder.

She wheeled around and screamed. There in front of her was the most hideous creature she had ever seen.It had large bulbous growths all over it and green secretions coming from the eyes, nose and mouth. She did not know what it was but could only guess at one point
it was human. It grabbed a hold of her wrist with its bony ravaged hands and lunged at her neck.

The creature sunk its sharp teeth into Loriens neck. Lorien screamed and realized the bag was being wrestled from her grip.
This was all it wanted. The last thing she remembered was the creatures hot breath close to her as it stared into her face with the bag
in its wretched hands.

Dusk was settling in, the wind picking up and the forest air was cooling rapidly. Lorien shifted herself off the ground to sit up and rubbed her ravaged neck. She felt sick, scared & poisoned with guilt . Her lust for the bag, now her loss, had initiated these unwordly occurrences. What had she started? What had she done by taking the bag? Whose was it? What was she supposed to do now?

She put her hand to her throbbing neck. She felt the gaping marks where the teeth had sunk in and it was wet and sticky with what she
could only assume was the creatures vial secretions or her own blood. She knew she had to get out of the forest but still something held her back.
She glanced into the dull gloom of the forest and suddenly saw a bright light coming through the trees. She had to know what it was

…it was hope.
Despite all that had occurred, all that she endured, she knew that it would all be for nothing if she did not try to move towards it. Something inside her told get up. She felt woozy. At her feet lay the beautiful red bag she had come upon earlier. She folded it into thirds and tied it around her neck like a scarf. An odd feeling immediately began to radiate, at first cold then a comforting warmth. As she untied the bag, she traced her fingers over her neck and felt no wounds. She rolled up her bag, clutched it in her palm, and began to move quickly towards the light. A branched snapped behind her, worried it was the creature, she sprinted. Still running, she looked over her shoulder, tripped and hit her head on a rock. Having blacked out, Lorien laid limp on the ground. She was unable to see what was
approaching her.
Her mother shook her. “Lorien. Lorien, what are you doing sleeping in the yard? Shouldn’t you be studying? Anyways, you have a call-here’s the phone…” Lorien, confused, reached for the phone and noticed something red in her hand. It was the beautiful bag she had found in the forest. She looked toward the trees, revealing nothing but peace and serenity.
As she walked back toward the house, with phone in hand, she gushes to her boyfriend about this amazing red bag she found and how for some odd reason, the bag is more than just a beautiful red bag.
