thank you for all the info i dislike how companies can call it 100% recycled and it be a lie in example
Jim Says:
March 24th, 2010 at 3:04 am

“….Envirosax Pty Ltd has gone into a partnership with Unifi Inc of the USA to create its own SCS certified Envirosax RPET. Envirosax RPET is a mix of 55% flat filament polyester and 45% Repreve® polyester (Unifi Inc).

The 45% Repreve® in the Envirosax RPET is made up of 100% recycled content, 80% pre-consumer and 20% post-consumer recycled polyester content (predominantly plastic bottles).”

Does this mean 9% (ie. 20% of 45%) of the material in Environsax bags is made from post consumer PET (recycled bottles)?

Thanks

Hi Jim,

Yes this is correct, 45% of the bag is made from 100% recycled content. 80% of the 45 is recycled post industrial waste from the USA and 20% of the 45 is recycled bottles post consumer all from the USA. Therefore 9% of the bag is made from recycled bottles post consumer all from the USA and 36% of the bag is made from post industrial waste all from the USA. Envirosax decided to work with Unifi and the SCS because these were the only companies we could find that could correctly certify the RPET as 100% recycled content.

Undeniably believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the net the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people consider worries that they plainly don't know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

I am looking forward to reading more from you. Keep up the good work. This unfortunately has little to do with the reality of biodegradability; in real world disposal scenarios, without the controlled conditions specified in these standards, the bags will not break down and biodegrade in a reasonable amount of time and will not decompose to organic material that can be put to use by other micro-organisms, as the term biodegradable suggests. You are always really kind towards readers like me and help me in my lifestyle. Thank you.
